Chickens, Kleenex and Smoke Monsters

Allergy season is upon us.
I nearly died yesterday. Butter and I went on a quick jog through the neighborhood and it practically killed me. I literally spent the rest of the day on the couch drunk on allergy medications. Praise the Lord it was a Saturday and L was able to spend most of his waking hours with his dad. Both the baby and I went to bed at 7.

RJ roused me from my sudafed coma long enough to help him break up old concrete in the back yard. He is nearly done with the chicken coop! As a bird hater I put up a fight against purchasing fowl, but he convinced me I would never have to touch a chicken or chicken poop. My only responsibility is eating up farm fresh eggs. I can handle that.

And I have to admit, the coop is pretty amazing. Pictures coming soon.

Tonight marks the end of LOST. I am ready. When Friends went off the air I wore all black and packed a hanky. And while I've had a fun six years with Sawyer, Kate, Jack, Hurley and the gang I am ready to see the end of them. Particularly Jack - he bugs. I will miss Sayid the most.

Finally, I blog for Comments. I know one of the unspoken blog rules is to never fish for comments. One is supposed to love blogging for the pure essence of writing, regardless of readership. If that was really the case we would all still be using journals. So, although this post is boring, I would really love a comment!

I don't get allergies, but have definitely experienced the drunk cold medicine feeling! I don't watch Lost, so you're on your own with that one...
I feel you on the chicken coop. Chickens seem soo dirty, but if I never had to deal with it and get fresh eggs? Not too bad!
Oh, and P.S. I love that you let Landon play in puddles!! =)

I was never much of a journaler myself, but do enjoy the blogging world...oh and I do like comments too...so there you have it!

But, I must say, you have me interested in this chicken coop. Live chickens in your backyard? Kind of crazy! Do they make lots of noise?

Ok, I don't blog either but I love reading yours! In fact we had one of your recipes for dinner last night! Meant to tell you at church but never saw you! I made the veggie mix with the olive oil and lime dressing (yellow peppers, cukes, red onions, zest of lime, etc.) It was a hit. We had it over brown rice and some of us just on top of our salads! Going to the store for more ingredients to make again tonight!! Keep up the writing. I don't know how you have time to do all this blogging with everything else you do, but I love it!!!

I agree, comments are definitely nice to see (partially so you don't feel like you're talking to yourself) and it always puts a smile on my face to read something from friends & family.

So funny that you are getting chickens...we are getting three chicks this week. We've been talking about it for a couple of years now, so we're taking the plunge. I'm excited and a little nervous at the same time. I need to do a little more reading up on our new friends and the care they are going to require.

Good seeing you today at church!

You are never boring. I always like reading your posts, and its not only because you are my daughter. Allergies are bad up here. With all the great rain mixed with sun the pollen count is quite high. Glad you are not here right now. love mom
