Sunday Supper - Last Week

Tuesday, November 19, 2013

Sunday: Salmon, Potatoes, Salad
Monday: Spaghetti with Meat Sauce
Tuesday: Orange Chicken, Japanese Fried Rice, Asian Slaw
Wednesday: Soup and Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
Thursday: Open-faced Tuna Salad Sandwiches and Salad
Friday: Wild Rice Casserole and Salad
Saturday: Mama ate in Vegas!!!

Notes:
- It was one of those weeks where I didn't meal plan nor grocery shop which always leads to some interesting dinners
- We eat so much salad because we grow our own lettuce...like 15 heads at a time
- I rediscovered one of my favorite cookbooks this week The Sprouted Kitchen: A Tastier Take on Whole Foods (also a fabulous blog). The Tuna Salad and Rice Casserole are from the book. Both were fabulous!!!
- Trader Joe's Orange Chicken and Japanese Fried Rice are two of my favorite things to eat. You can get both in the frozen aisle. And they cook up fast. Bonus! Double Bonus!
- My meat sauce is nothing more than ground beef seasoned with Italian seasoning, onions and garlic and then thrown into a pot of ready-made pasta sauce. Easy and delicious.
